Sherry Weiss named Dow Jones Chief Marketing Officer

I am delighted to announce that Sherry Weiss will be joining us as Chief Marketing Officer of Dow Jones starting October 3rd.

Sherry will oversee all Dow Jones and Wall Street Journal marketing activities, focused on customer acquisition, retention and subscriptions; enhancing and promoting the brand; and optimize our marketing efforts across the Dow Jones ecosystem. His responsibility within the Dow Jones ecosystem will increase collaboration and alignment, solidify our brand position, and maximize our efforts to share our unique and united Dow Jones narrative.

Sherry joins us at a time when Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal strive to reach an ever-expanding group of professionals and decision-makers around the world in business, finance, politics and more. It will build on the success our teams have already achieved, including revenue and digital subscription growth.

An innovator with a rich history in digital marketing and financial services, Sherry spent 12 years at Citi, a global brand with diverse consumer finance businesses and a digital footprint. Most recently, she was Head of Marketing Transformation and Channel Distribution for Citi’s Personal Banking & Wealth Management group, where she led a multi-year marketing transformation effort for the credit card, retail banking, retail services, mortgages and wealth management from Citi. Prior to this, Sherry led marketing strategy and innovation for the Branded Cards business, where she developed and launched a marketing innovation center to drive significant growth for the organization. Sherry has an entrepreneurial spirit. Between her two stints at Citi, Sherry was responsible for loyalty and retention at, a fast-growing e-commerce start-up bought by Walmart in 2016.

An energetic and customer-focused marketing leader, Sherry is passionate about creating and delivering marketing programs that drive growth, engagement and retention. His experience in developing technical strategies and solutions for both marketing and product will be a tremendous asset to our efforts to expand our reach and deepen our impact as we grow Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal.
