Movado Group appoints Stéphane Gerschel as Chief Marketing Officer

PARAMUS, New Jersey, May 04, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Movado Group, Inc. (NYSE: MOV) today announced the appointment of Stéphane Gerschel as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer (“CMO”), effective April 18, 2022. As CMO, Mr. Gerschel will leverage his global marketing expertise to increase awareness and interest in the company’s portfolio of compelling brands with a focus on maximizing the strength of his Movado brand in the world.

Previously, Mr. Gerschel held executive positions at several luxury brands. Most recently, he served as Global Brand Managing Director for Pomellato within the Kering Group in Milan. Previously, he worked at LVMH as senior director of international communication at Bulgari, and he was director of international communication at Veuve Clicquot.

Mr. Gerschel holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Paris II Assas and the University of Miami and holds a degree from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, with a major in business administration. international affairs and a minor in luxury industry management. Mr. Gerschel is the author of five books, including the best-selling “Louis Vuitton Iconsedited by Assouline, and “Les Saisons de Veuve Clicquot”, edited by Rizzoli New York, which received several awards.

The post of chief marketing officer for the Movado Group had been vacant since the sad passing of its longtime chief marketing officer, Mary Leach, from cancer in February 2021.
