Summary of work
Sabi is recruiting an Associate to join its Corporate Finance team. The right candidate will take on a unique, exciting and impactful combination of challenges in four main areas: corporate finance transactions, execution of integrated finance strategy, investor relations and management reporting.

1) Business financing:

a) Raising equity and debt:

  • Lead financial modeling workflows, virtual data room preparation and transaction-related corporate document workflows
  • Prepare transaction documentation, including but not limited to briefing notes, teasers and management presentations
  • Support due diligence activities for potential acquisitions as explored by the business from time to time
  • Provide support in investor engagement, investor negotiations and preparation of legal documentation
  • Support post-trade management activities (compliance with covenants, etc.)

b) Investor relations:

  • Respond to specific investor reporting and information needs
  • Develop and monitor ESG metrics internally and report periodically to financiers

2) Integrated Finance and Business Intelligence:

Collaborate with the financial control team in the preparation of investor reports, annual budgets and quarterly management reports on performance against budget
Liaise with the Business Intelligence team to develop and manage robust performance tracking metrics/dashboards, including monthly financial and non-financial KPIs and cohort analysis
Develop and produce business intelligence, including reports on non-financial KPIs such as the impact report
Support any financial planning outside of the regular budget cycle

3) Liaise with all other business units to challenge the status quo, implement new ideas, research and implement more efficient solutions and processes
Work experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Between 4 and 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in one or all of the following areas: Corporate finance (transactional) or VC/PE, Investment banking, Financial advisory/transactional experience
  • Strong modeling skill
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Ability to take initiative in research and analysis and produce valuable results under conditions of uncertainty
  • Experience in financial services and/or fintech would be a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of G Suite, Excel and PowerPoint products
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance or another business-related field
