Dhanbad: Police recover automatic weapons and bicycles from thieves from Muthoot Finance office



Dhanbad, September 6: Dhanbad Police have recovered an automatic weapon, a bag full of tools and two bicycles with fake registration numbers from the two thieves who were arrested at Muthoot Finance office today. He claimed that two other criminals who had managed to escape would soon be arrested.

The SSP said the criminals lived in a rented house in the Dhansar area of ​​the city and carried out an investigation into jewelry stores in the district.

Dhanbad Police shot dead a thief during an encounter and arrested two others during a dacoity in the office of Muthoot Finance in the posh Bank More Market under the Bank More Police Station on Tuesday morning.

Chief Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjiv Kumar told the media that five dacoits entered Muthoot’s finance office for robbery in which one was killed during an encounter while police nabbed two criminals. Two other criminals managed to escape from the place.

SSP said five criminals entered Mutthoot’s finance office around 10:30 a.m. as a customer and pointed a gun at the branch manager for looting. The Muthoot Finance Officer is only 250-300 meters from BankMore Police Station.

“After getting the information, Officer in Charge PK Singh and two Constables ran to the place. dacoit was killed. Constables subdued two others,” Sanjiv Kumar said. The SSP said police fired four bullets while criminals fired about 10 bullets. The spent cartridges were recovered.

The SSP said that due to the quick action of the police robbers, it did not loot at Muthoot Finance. The names of the arrested criminals do not match what they revealed during interrogation and the recovered Aadhar cards in their possession.

A criminal said his name Nirmal Singh Power from Madhya Pradesh while in Aadhar map his name was found Ashif from Samastipur. Similarly another arrested person revealed his name Gunjan Kumar from Lalgunj from Ranchi but in Aadhar map his name is Raghav from Lakhisarai (Bihar). The arrested criminals refused to have the identification of the deceased thief.
